What is OmegaFi?
OmegaFi is a fraternity and sorority finance company, part of Togetherwork, that sells billing, accounting, recruitment, and member database tools to chapters and national headquarters. Its billing products include Vault and LegFi, which OmegaFi added in 2017. This page focuses on Vault; see our LegFi comparison for LegFi.
How OmegaFi billing works
Treasurers bill members through Vault or LegFi, and members pay through the MyOmegaFi app or website. Parents can link an account to view and pay, and members can set up recurring AutoPay for a specific amount on a day they choose.
OmegaFi pricing and fees
OmegaFi doesn’t publish its pricing. Its agreement says fees are set on each chapter’s Order Form. On Vault, an OmegaFi Collection Fee is withheld from payments each semester for every member, and chapters tell us it runs about $36 per member per year.
On Vault, card fees are on the chapter. Vault’s help center (updated August 2024) says the fee “cannot be passed on to members,” and chapters tell us they absorb about 3.15% + 30¢ per card payment. LegFi is priced differently, and its chapters can opt into a credit card surcharge, generally up to 3%, since April 2026.
OmegaFi contracts
OmegaFi’s Master Solution Agreement (last modified May 19, 2025) sets each chapter’s term on its Order Form and says the agreement then automatically extends under the Order Form’s renewal provisions. It also says:
- Payment obligations are “non-cancelable” and amounts paid are nonrefundable.
- A chapter “may not terminate” or stop using a service if its national headquarters has an agreement with OmegaFi to provide that service to the chapter.
- After termination, the chapter has to remove its own data, or request a paid data conversion within 30 days. After that, OmegaFi has no obligation to keep the data.
Is OmegaFi worth it?
OmegaFi offers a lot: billing, payment plans, full-service accounting, tax forms, recruitment, and national partnerships. On Vault, it also comes with a per-member collection fee, card fees on the chapter, and contract terms set by an Order Form. MyGreek’s DIY tier is $0 a month, with no contracts on any plan. Here is how the two compare.
Why chapters choose MyGreek over OmegaFi
No per-member fee taken from your dues
On Vault, OmegaFi withholds a collection fee for every member each semester, about $36 per member per year according to chapters. MyGreek’s DIY tier is $0 a month.
Card fees covered by payers
Vault’s help center says the card fee can’t be passed on to members, so the chapter absorbs about 3.15% + 30¢ on every card payment. On MyGreek, payers cover card and bank fees by default, built into checkout.
No contracts
OmegaFi’s agreement extends automatically under your Order Form’s renewal terms, its payment obligations are non-cancelable, and a chapter can’t stop using a service its national has contracted OmegaFi to provide. MyGreek never has contracts, on any plan, so your chapter can leave whenever it wants.
In-house Form 990 assistance
One national’s 2025-26 dues sheet lists the 990 prep fees its LegFi chapters pay OmegaFi: $110 for a 990-N and $285 for a 990-EZ. On MyGreek, 990-N filing is included, and on Plus, 990-EZ filing is free and a full 990 is discounted.

When OmegaFi is the better choice
- Your national contracts OmegaFi services for its chapters and wants every chapter on the same system.
- You want recruitment and member database tools from the same company as your billing.
- You want automated past-due phone calls to members, a feature of OmegaFi’s LegFi product.
Switching from OmegaFi to MyGreek
Before you switch, check two things: whether your national has an agreement with OmegaFi, and the renewal terms on your chapter’s Order Form.
- Export your roster, balances, and payment history from OmegaFi before your agreement ends. Its agreement gives chapters 30 days after termination to request a paid data conversion.
- Bring your roster as a spreadsheet and map the columns on import.

How much does OmegaFi cost?
OmegaFi doesn’t publish its pricing; fees are set on each chapter’s Order Form. On Vault, a collection fee is withheld for every member each semester, which chapters tell us is about $36 per member per year, and chapters absorb card fees of about 3.15% + 30¢. MyGreek’s DIY tier is $0 a month, and payers cover processing by default: 4% + 30¢ by card or 1% by bank (max $25), calculated so the chapter receives the full amount.
Can OmegaFi pass card fees to members?

Can we get our data out of OmegaFi?
Export it before you leave. OmegaFi’s agreement says chapters must remove their own data at termination, or request a paid data conversion within 30 days. After that, OmegaFi has no obligation to keep it.
Our national uses OmegaFi. Can we use MyGreek?
If your national has an agreement with OmegaFi for your chapter, OmegaFi’s agreement says the chapter can’t stop using that service, so check with your headquarters first.
