MyGreek vs Greekbill
Greekbill, now re:Members, has run on the same bones since 1996, and members feel it. MyGreek is the modern alternative: an interface members actually like, automated payment plans that get dues in without the chasing, and no monthly cost.
Trusted by 100+ chapters. Comparison last updated June 2026.
What is GreekBill (re:Members)?
GreekBill is a platform for sorority and fraternity treasurers that helps them bill members, collect dues, and track expenses online. Founded by Rob Hammond in 1996, it is one of the oldest dues-collection tools in Greek life, and in January 2025 it rebranded to re:Members. Today it is used by fraternity and sorority chapters, headquarters tracking their member chapters, and, since the rebrand, general nonprofits.
GreekBill pricing and fees
GreekBill does not publish its pricing, but chapters have reported paying up to 5% per transaction and as much as $42 per member per year, on top of a roughly $2 to $4 per-member monthly platform fee. For a 30-member chapter charging $450 in dues, that can land anywhere from about $540 to $1,260 a year. In practice, you will usually only be on GreekBill if your headquarters has a deal with them.
How GreekBill works
GreekBill started as invoicing software, and it still centers on three things:
- Invoicing members. Create a charge like Spring Dues, assign it to members, and send invoices.
- Collecting payments. Once invoiced, members log in to pay a charge by entering an amount and a payment method.
- Managing budgets. A budget builder and finance reports let treasurers track expenses and get insight into transactions.
How does GreekBill make money?
GreekBill's revenue comes from per-member platform fees plus per-transaction fees, with the per-member rate rising or falling depending on the headquarters it is working with.
Is GreekBill worth it?
GreekBill is a leading, established platform in its niche. But after nearly 30 years, its pricing structure and dated interface are the two things treasurers most often want to get away from, which is exactly why so many chapters compare it against a modern, free alternative like MyGreek. Here is how the two stack up.
We’re biased, but here’s what treasurers tell us
“It's actually easy to use”
A clean, modern interface. New officers pick it up without a walkthrough.
“Dues basically collect themselves”
Automated payment plans and reminders bring dues in, so treasurers stop chasing people down.
“No more software bill”
No per-member or monthly platform fee. Payers cover processing fees by default.
Find the right financial features for your chapter
Greekbill provides basic billing and budgeting tools but lacks modern automation features. MyGreek brings everything together - automatic payment plans, text reminders, shareable links, and a modern interface - all at no cost to your chapter.
